Scripture (The Message)
18-19Then he said, "How can I picture God's kingdom for you? What kind of story can I use? It's like a pine nut that a man plants in his front yard. It grows into a huge pine tree with thick branches, and eagles build nests in it."
20-21He tried again. "How can I picture God's kingdom? It's like yeast that a woman works into enough dough for three loaves of bread—and waits while the dough rises."
22He went on teaching from town to village, village to town, but keeping on a steady course toward Jerusalem.
23-25A bystander said, "Master, will only a few be saved?"
He said, "Whether few or many is none of your business. Put your mind on your life with God. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires your total attention. A lot of you are going to assume that you'll sit down to God's salvation banquet just because you've been hanging around the neighborhood all your lives. Well, one day you're going to be banging on the door, wanting to get in, but you'll find the door locked and the Master saying, 'Sorry, you're not on my guest list.'
31At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you."
32He replied, "Go tell that fox, 'I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.' 33In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Luke 13:18-32
Observation
- Gods' Kingdom leads to multiplication and frootfulness. It ISN'T about mere knowledge but about Faith in Action. Faith without action is DEAD.
- His Works requires CONCENTRATION. FOcus , and not being distracted by looking at what our neighbours are doing right or wrong. Judging is not part of the deal, To judge others is not a my description. I am not call to do that. LEt God be the judge while we continue to sow our land that is given to us.
-Vigorous = (of a person) strong, healthy and full of energy/ (language) forceful
Application
- His Work ==> Our Work => Leads to frootfulness and multiplication
- Requires extreme focus and zealousness n not be distracted by external pettyness
Prayer
Father, I ask for zealousness. I ask for a heart to pray for myself and others. Father, pray to keep loving and accepting things that I cannot change but to trust that you are overseeing every single person here on earth. Father, i pray for focus.. I pray for to persevere, for patience, for purposeful relationship. Father, thank you for your grace.
