Gods' love for me, my love for HIM

Scripture
The Lord will create over all of Mt Zion & over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over all the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shelter & shade from the heat of the day, & a refuge & hiding place from the storm & rain. Isaiah 4:5-6

Observation
Isaiah introduced our Messiah, Jesus Christ, who is the Branch of the Lord. Jesus came to die for my sin. He is here to save me from my past and his forgiveness and death has free me from my blemishes, my weaknesses. To those who remains in Jerusalem/Zion, will be called holy. The above depicts my beloved Fathers' character. Indeed, Father, you are love. You protects me from danger. You assure me that though all else fails, YOU ARE RIGHT BY MY SIDE. Papa, you are the LIGHT in my life. Whenever I need you, YOU ARE HERE WITH ME during the toughest moments of my life. Your WORDS will stand firm till the end of days though the foundation of the earth has long gone.

MY PAPA
Father is LOVE
Father provides
Father assures
Father gives peace
Father is true to His words
Father promises never fail and it will come to pass
Father protects
Father is my STRENGTH and place of HOPE
Father is my TOWER OF REFUGE
Father is my LIGHT that shines through the darkest time in my life
Father

Application
Father, you are TRUE TO YOUR WORDS. Your love is too great and you will ensure that I AM INDEED PROTECTED FROM HARM. Even though I walk through times of darkness, you are my LIGHT, my JOY, my SALVATION, my HOPE, my PLACE OF REFUGE, my PEACE.. Jesus is my MIGHTY GOD, WONDERFUL COUNSELLOR, PRINCE OF PEACE and EVERLASTING FATHER..

Father, I don't know how or what. But, this is what I know. I will trust you. I will obey you. I will love you with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

Prayer
Father, I surrender my fear and insecurity to you. You are my only hope, place of refuge. I do not want to place hope in JC or anything that will draw my attention away from you. I want to depend on you, obey you in all things. I will to surrender my fear, insecurities, cynicism, self-control, pride, self back to you. Father, open my eyes to see, ears to hear, heart to truly know that you are in control of all my life. This, I commit it back to you... I want to livebyfaith, and not by sight.

Loving you always,
Doremi

FRee from Sin

I was reading the book of Mark where it depicts the final hours of Jesus on earth. This is also when Jesus said to his disciples that one of them will betrayed him.

What actually strikes me was the explanation that Ive got from my study Bible. It said that the death of Jesus is the new covenant that God has with us, his children on earth. Animal were sacrificed to symbolize "forgiveness of sins" in the old covenant but in the new covenant, Jesus, the Son of God, who is without sins, died for you and me, for all the people on earth? Why? So that you, me, the Muslims, Indians, Buddhists, murderers, rapists, liars, adulterers, the greedy, the rich, the poor, scammers, EVERYone' Sins are forgiven not only ONCE but for ALL.

This includes sins that we have committed and sins that we have not committed.

You mean, Father, Jesus' death results in my freedom to live a NEW LIFE again? A life of FREEDOM? A Life of PASSION AND PURPOSE? U mean, though I'm covered all over with blemishes, You mean you have ALREADY paid for my past, present and future sins and it no longer hold me ransom?

You mean that I have received a chance to relive my life to the MAX knowing that you will always provide me abundantly no matter what?

You mean that I do not have to run around like a headless chook, trying to make things happen at my own strength, but all I have to do is to trust in you, communicate with you, understand your heartbeat and love for the living on this earth?

Father, you have given me many chances.... You have love me patiently.... You have given me more than I ask for. Father, I pray so much to have your unconditional love, grace, mercy, joy, peace so that I can pass these to those who doesn't know you. Father, show me your ways... let it be the spirit of the Lord who guides me.. My best friend. :)

What is fear of death when Jesus has already CONQUERED DEATH...?

Yes, Father, with absolute conviction, I believe that you have given me the SAME SPIRIT that has RAISED JESUS UP! I believe that I have the same power to raise up , to heal others, to speak words of encouragement to others, to help others in need. Father, you are the only one who can see right through me. Please purify my thoughts and minds. I know that this can only be done through my relationship with you. Father, you are the best, do you know that....

Father, please open my eyes to see, ears to hear, my heart to feel you...

Loving you always,
Doreen C.

Putting on the Garment of PRaise

Scriptures (Colossians 3: 5-17/23)

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. [n] 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

-----------

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Observation
- Paul was writing this to encourage the Colossians to stand firm in their faith in God. He reinstate Jesus' Christ identity and He is the only one who is able to draw us near to Father in Heaven. As God chosen people, Paul urged to lay aside all our past fleshly desires but to put a whole new garment of Christ which include compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness and love above all these that will bind our community in perfect unity. We are also called to pursue the peace of Christ, a heart of thankfulness and gratitude and to encourage one another through the words in all forms of ways, out of a hearts of gratitude to our Father in Heaven.

- And to work with all my heart as I am working for the Lord, to please him above all. :)

Application
- To obey and work out of a thankful heart and because God has first loved me. :)

Prayer
- Lord God, I do know that it takes a heart of repentance for the spirit to work through me. Please continue to guide me in all your ways. Remind me during those moments when I need to make crucial/mild choices. Be here to prompt/prod me always..

Loving you always,

Obedience, Peace n Conviction

It started well. It went down later, but I do know the "noises" are not from My Lord. In His name, I casted it away from my mind.

I read Songs of Solomon now. The 1st Chapter. I am at peace and felt loved. Indeed, how could anyone not love this God? Why are we so busy with life and be affected by the troubles around us? God is the only one who can bring us out from our troubles and assure us of His love and provision.

Father, I thank you for your love, your truth. I will depend on you. I will listen and obey you.

Much love,
Doreen C
