Eureka! I found the reason to fast NOW

It has been a week of fun and many challenges as I prepared for Talent Night. It has been a month of fun organising our weekly Latin dance classes. It was fun and everything ran smoothly. But subconsciously, I wonder, "'Where is God? Where is His presence in the midst of these "fun-filled" activities.

God is kind and patient. He is indeed merciful. I love Him for these. I am allowed to take the above route to experience a clarity of my feeling now. Indeed, Father Abba, thank you for allowing me to "learn" from these experiences. I love this. :)

Auntie Kim prayed over me yesterday. She prayed that God is going to fill the container that Ive prepared for Him. I have indeed desire to know more of my beloved Father. In fact, I want to build a bottomless well so that God can filled me indefinitely. I deeply yearn for God to open the floodgate of Heaven and pour all the blessings, guidances and wisdoms into me. :)

Scriptures
i) Ecclesiastes 2:4-11
4 I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees. 7 I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me. 8 I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem [a] as well—the delights of a man's heart. 9 I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me.

10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor,
and this was the reward for all my toil.

11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

-----------------------------------------------

ii) Psalm 127:1
"Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.

Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain."

-----------------------------------------------
Observation
i) King Solomon detailed all this accomplishments throughout his lifetime. He undertook great "projects" and built his wealth and slaves/women to fulfill the desire of his hearts. In fact, he hold nothing back from pursuing these pleasures his heart desire. He became the most powerful and rich rulers during his days. Yet, all these accomplishments amounted to MEANINGLESSNESS. These pleasures are temporal, an act of chasing after wind => meaninglessness.

ii) Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. How true is this. Unless the LORD is the core foundation of our "work" all is meaninglessness, chasing after the wind despite the "temporal" pleasures and sense of achievements we may feel in the beginning.

Application
How true are the above. God is faithful. He answers me through the above. Now I am able to piece together the "missing pieces". God is the secret ingredient to ALL the things that I'm involved in.

If all my dance projects/lessons commences without God being the centre of it all, it will not last. God must be the core foundation for my dance project. I know Father has called me to nurture, take care of his sheeps. This I will do so. As at now, I have found the reason for my fasting. To seek the Lord with all my heart, soul and might. To yearn after His ways in building the foundation of His creative arts ministry. I am here to steward His will, not my will.

I also believe that I will incorporate prayers ie a time to seek the Lord with the team from the moment we begin our planning. I believe throughout this fasting period, God has already prepares all the resources and wisdoms for me to tap into. Yes, Father, I will draw near to you. :)

Prayer
Father, thank you for your love and guidance. There is noone like you. None. You are my lover of my soul. You are the reason that I lived. Father, I am ready to see and hear you. I am ready to obey you. I am ready to let you be the main driver in this journey. Father, I surrender all of me into your hands. Father, I trust in you. Father, prepare me for the year ahead. I'm looking forward for more meaningful experiences with you and my beloved friends, family, community and new mentor and mentees. Am looking forward to more meaningful experiences in creative arts ministry and commencement of painting as well. :) Of celebrations... of weddings, of new birth.. :) of financial blessings.. AMEN!! So, LET IT BE...:) I want surprises.. I love them..:)

Your beloved daughter,
Doremi

Jesus' Laying Down His LIFE

GOSPEL ===> DISCIPLESHIP

Obedience that comes from Faith
- is to trust solely in the Lord that we have no total control of what really happens

Made righteous by Faith
- we are judge by Jesus' righteousness
- Jesus' righteousness is from his obedience till the point of death, ie laying down his life
- we are made righteous by Jesus' prototype, Jesus has demonstrate what righteousness looks like
- it is only by trusting that we can let go

For eg: I trust my Lord that he knows what is best for me, for eg. my relationship, my financial status, my family, my dance, my LIFE. Therefore, I will let go and be free. Trusting that God has already plan for JC, I will be free and let go. Trusting that God is for us, not against us.

Jesus' prototype:
Jesus is Lord ===> Jesus in Resurrection (Obedience in the spirit)

In regardless of death, mental challenge, discomfort, we are to lay ourselves down.

GOSPEL

DISCIPLESHIP
i) What do I need to be contented? ===> ie. Lower down my bottomline
---- How many approval to I need?
---- Do I need to be needed?
---- Self-Pity? === I work and work for you, where is my reward?
---- Do I need 8 hours of sleep to be clear headed the next day?
---- Do I need to go ski yearly?
---- Do I need to spend my time with JC all the time?

-------- What do I need to be joyful?

ii) What is the Spirit in faith leading me to do? =====> Growing in our topline
---- Principle:
---- bottom line shrink
---- If top line is lower than the bottom line==> living in a scarcity mindset)

---- Relationships
-------- Arrow Students (via dance)
-------- Operation Stitches

Question:
In what way has my topline change and bottomline change?

--- Everytime I am fighting for what I deserve & right, don't ignore it but be attentive and hold it to the Lord. This means we are focusing on our bottomline. Discipleship with each of us is for God to bring down our bottomline.

Prayer
Lord God, may you open doors of opportunity see from your perspectives. Lord give me a heart to trust in you, to believe in you, to live in the freedom that you know is the best for me. I will trust in you, follow you all the days of my heart. Amen..

Pursue mature righteousness=> Love, Faith, Peace while God changes the hearts... :)

Scripture

22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Tim 24-26

22-26Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God's servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil's trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands. 2 Tim 22-16 {The Message}

Observation
Paul is urging the followers of Christ to pursue mature righteousness of faith, love , peace. He urged us to avoid petty arguments but be a gentle listener who stay cool, yet firm, and patient with those who lack obedience. It is only God who can change the hearts and turn the hearts towards him.

Application
- Pray, Pray , Pray
- Pursue love, faith, peace and hope in God.
- We have to be quick to listen, slow to judge (this is Gods' role), be patient with those who slow to obey Him.
- To believe that God is the one who turns hardened hearts around. Believe that all things fall into His perfect timing.

Prayer
Father, thank you for affirming me. Indeed you are faithful to the core. I will abide in your wisdom and follow your ways.

Love,
Doreen C.

Today

Got started today with a miracle. Managed to get a good bargain for the dance movie outing.

It's mid-day now. THere's this big cloud above me due to JC. I'm trying not to react but to response.

God I need another miracle. Peace in mind, your peace.

God, give me eyes of faith to believe in your providence. You have been faithful. I will trust in you. Father, you know what, your name will be glorified. I want to believe in this. Father, I want to be apart of your BIG plan. Indeed, its not about me but you.

Father, I pray for peace and trust. I believe in you. I will not react to JC but Father, show Him that you are indeed my provider. Father, He is your problem, not mine. I am not going to even "flick" an inch. I am not even going to move. In you, I will stay put. In you, I will place my trust. You are going to move him, not me. I am not going to use my own strength or might but I will believe in your spirit.

Holy Spirit, it is time for you to act. Bring glory to our Father.

Loving you always,
Doreen C.

To those who has breath, praise the Lord

Accumulative Events

Praise the Lord. Let those who has breath, praise the Lord.

I was not at peace yesterday after the "confusion" during the morning session. It left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and doubts to where I am suppose to go after this season. Ive thought of moving "out" and looking for a better place with better benefits.

Just before I slept yesterday, I prayed. When I woke up, I prayed.

Indeed God is good, and all the time.
Indeed God answers me when I ask for guidance.
Indeed my beloved Father, is the best, Lord of all Lords.

My Listening Point

The scriptures that stand out to me today are as following:
i) IF I pay attention to these laws (Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength/ Fear the Lord, serve Him only and do not follow other Gods) and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers. Deuteronomy 7:12

ii) Why do the nations say, "Where ir their God?" Psalm 115:2

iii) they (idols) have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but they cannot smell; Psalm 115:6

iv) "Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last." Luke 13:30

- I thought if I am to seek security through monetary gain, I will be happy. But Father came to my rescue through the above wisdom. Father has reminded me that I am to worship Him first and foremost. He also mentioned that if I am to chase after monetary gain, I will become just like "them", no ears to hear, no sense of smell. To those who think they will enter the Kingdom of Heaven just because they deemed to be successful in the world, they will be the last one to enter. God sees our hearts of obedience. "Great" people in Gods' eyes are the ones that will enter the Kingdom of Heaven first.

Faith Choices
- Obedience is better than sacrifice
- U add me a Hello, Papa. Yup, let your will be done through me. I am yours.

Living Life
- I will be faithful to where God has placed me. To stay put, to forgive and to support each others weaknesses.

Prayer
Father Abba, I thank you for your listening ears. Indeed, to those who seek after you, you will reveal your deepest thoughts. I pray that I will not be blinded by my own desires but to open my eyes to see from your perspective. Indeed, in you, I find clarity and peace. In you, I find purpose. In you, I find joy.

Loving this relationship,
Doremi
