Annual Dinner dance was a blast last Sat. Am sick today. Dear was great. He made me pork and century egg congee and also avocado smoothies... yummy..

Faith
Scripture
John 20:28-29
28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
John 21:3-6
3"I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
4Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
5He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?"
"No," they answered.
6He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
Observation
a) This is the time where Thomas is called the Doubting Thomas. Although the other disciples told him that Jesus had returned, he is the one who say that in order for him to believe that is to see Jesus in person. His requests was fulfilled by Jesus. Jesus completed it by saying to those who does not need to see him as a living proof, is already blessed. Jesus is opting for those who live by faith, not those who live by sight. To those who believe even without seeing Jesus performing miracles.
As I walk along this path as his child, I have to admit that I have often fall shortly of living by faith. I do not know why but maybe its because that Ive easily be distracted by the ways of the world. These fears of not having enough and according to what I want it to be have INDEED become an unnecessary ABSOLUTE BURDEN to me. I don't find joy being in a fearful state. It is truly by trusting and believing by faith, I do find joy. I love the confidence and conviction of walking by faith.
b) Together with the other disciples, Simon went out to fish. For the whole night, they found nothing. Jesus came early in the morning and without them knowing his identity, He adviced them on the "how to". Such is our Lord who is full of grace and compassion, Our counsellor and provider of our needs. Hence, the disciples god a truck loads of fishes.
God is merciful when we are not.
God is grace when we are not.
God is compassionate when we are not.
Every single thing (alive/not alive) in the world belongs to Him.
Application
The power of faith. This is what makes one who comes from this Kingdom and not of the earth.
Characteristic of faith-filled person:
- Deep Trust in the Lord
- Patient
- Deep Conviction/Clarity in within
- Courage/Confidence
- Doing the unthinkable/out of socially accepted by the society
- Persistence, faithful, zealous

Prayer
Lord, make me into a woman of faith. It has been too long that Ive been living life focusing on the unimportant things. Father, give me a whole new purpose for now. Renewed my energy. Renewed my spirit. I want to be alive and be free from all the unimportant things. Give me reason to live, to be free, to focus and most importantly, to learn how to enjoy life.

GRACE
Scripture
21Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." 22And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." John 20:21-23
Observation
- This was the first encounter that Jesus had with his disciples after He resurrected from death. He revealed himself to Mary Magdalene and the next in front of all his disciples. He spoke peace to be upon them and He layout the mission that was in front of them.
Only last few days, from the moment Jesus was caught, all the disciples deserted him and ran their own ways. Not even one of them stayed to defend Jesus and Peter denied Him 3 times subsequently due to fear. All of them had failed Jesus, betrayed Jesus and left Him alone.
And now, instead of coming with the rod of judgment, the first thing that Jesus said is PEACE to them. It is very obvious to see that Jesus comes with love and grace despite what they have done. Jesus is readied to forgive them INSTANTLY. And what's more, Jesus gave them a gift/counsellor/guardian => Holy Spirit to be with them. Jesus had previously said that the disciples will do even bigger things than Him.
Jesus came with forgiveness and just as they are forgiven, Jesus wants them to forgive others as well. Jesus has commissioned them that just as He had been sent by Father, we are now also sent forth by Father in Heaven.
Application
I will follow Jesus. His ways. He is loving and full of GRACE. Although the disciples had betrayed and left Him for dead, He came back and forgive each of them. Just as Jesus had forgiven me of my sins, I will now also FOR-GIVE others of their sins against me. If I don't, their sins will not be forgiven. I hold the authority of forgiveness and I shall no use this authority to forgive CN, CL, DJ, J, U, M, JC, PR, PL, HLF- V, MY, U, K, HK, KG, TG, TB, CL, D, AC, MC, AW, JM, myself....
I no longer hold any emotions and feeling of resentment, anger, discontentment...etc against each of these individuals but I pray that the Lord will prosper each of them. My lord will take care of them and grow each of them respectively.
Prayer
Dear Lord, just like how Father loves you, You have love me. Just like how Father has commanded you to follow, you obey. I want to do just that. Thank you Father, for your peace, your love, your grace. Ive received it fully well. I will bring this love and grace to others.

Law follower that leads to death bringing vs Righteous through faith in Christ that leads to life-giving

I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God's righteousness.
10-11I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it. Phillipians 3:8-11
Observation
Paul knows what He is talking about. He is opting for the righteousness in Christ rather than righteousness that comes from following the law. He is wanting to get into the heart that matter and this is the heart of Christ that He desires. He is not looking for a cheap substitute or even credential that are accepted by human but of faith in Jesus Christ. This credential that is approves by God.
What is the difference between us using our own KOGAE vs trusting God in the spirit? Lots.. The outcome for the first is that it will leads to pride and hence building wall around us but the later, is where it is life-giving. I can quote from the Korean Series, Dai Cheong Kam where the Elder allows DCK to live although the thing that she is standing for is for righteousness. What it means to opt for life vs stands for righteousness from the law?
Application
I realise the true meaning of righteousness. Godly righteousness comes from trusting in God. Of putting faith in God himself. Not on KOGAE.

What leads to eternal?
I'm in this zone that is unexplainable. All seems bright yet its not yet to be.
My listening point:

16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17This is my command: Love each other. John 15:16
Observation
Jesus taught his disciples to love one another just like how God loves him. The disciples are appointed to go out and bear fruit that last. What are some of the things that truly last? - Character, Wisdom, Loyalty, Peace, Love, Appreciation, Trust, Belief, Hope..These are all that is it in a character of one person who follows Christ. One who behave and think differently than the ways of the world.
What do I see as in me bearing fruit? I know that I'm here to contribute my skills in Gods' work. Other than that, I know God loves people who worship Him in spirit and in truth. God loves the poor, meek, the widow. Father yearns for all to be saved and not left to die. Father desires love, purity, holiness, justice....

Of love, adoration and understanding from the above

21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." John 14:21
Observation
Jesus knew the time has come for him to be taken away for trials and crucification. This is the time where he assured his disciples of his going and return. He also promised the gift of the Holy Spirit who is the counsellor, comforter, mediator from God and Jesus. Though Jesus is gone, but the followers will do things that are greater than him.
Jesus said that to those who truly loves him are those who knows and obey his commands/words. Jesus and Father in Heaven will loves those who follow them wholeheartedly even to the point of Jesus appearing before their eyes. This to me means that whatever that God reveals in the word, it is easily understood by his beloved. It is not as hard as some says but God will reveal himself through his words to us
Application
I desire this love. This unconditional love by Father and Jesus. I want to know Jesus inside out. I want to seek so that the doorway to both Father and Jesus can be opened to me. I know that love will overpower/overshadow fears. When u love someone, fear has no place. That is why parents are willing to sacrifice themselves for their kids in matter of urgency.
Prayer
Lord God, I want to be loved. I desire this love. Let me not be inward looking and seek to please myself but I want to desire your ways, the macro level perspective. I want to know you more and to seek after understanding, unconditional love and wisdom from the above. Father, Love will covers all multitude of sins and fears. Make me stand in awe of you, trusting you, obeying you. Father, may you grant me the understanding of love, adoration and understanding of all things.

Yes, I want to be healed.. and to be FREEEEEEEE
Scripture
When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well? John 5:6
Observation
Jesus knew this man who had been invalid for 38 years. My gosh, due to his crippling state, he is never able to achieve anything except spending his day time at the pool. He will be the last to be washed during festive seasons due to his physical form. However, Jesus came one day and he asked this man whether he wants to be healed.
The man described his state, reasoned why he is not able to heal. But, Jesus did not take his reasoning but with great authority, asked him to stand up and walked. This man did with faith. Because of his faith, he is healed. Jesus came back later and adviced him to sin no more and not to go back to his previous deeds or something worse will happened.
I'm awestruck. Jesus, our redeemer/saviour is not here to listen to our past hurts and reasons to justify why we are still burdened with these hurts, but He is there to offer us a chance to be FREE from our hurts. My question: Am I going to reasons why I'm still like this or am I going to trust the Lord with faith just like how this man has? My gosh, being crippled for nearly most of his life is devastating. I want to be free from my hurts. To trust and follow Christ.
To live by faith and not by sight. To stand and walk up...
Application
I will stand and walk tall.
I am free from my past hurts.
I have forgiven CN.
I am FREE to run and to trust in my relationships.
I am Loved, Cherished and Appreciated.

Dear Lord, I will make this choice to forgive and let go of the past hurts. For the sake of my purpose on earth and relationships, I will let go and walk. I will not repeat my past deeds but I will choose purity and holiness in my relationship. Give me a healthy fear of you. You say, perfect love cast out fear. :) U say, u have not given me a spirit of fear but of courage and a sound mind. Yes, I will live by faith and not by sight. :)

All we need is FAITH
Scripture
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14: 12-14
Observation
Jesus is saying goodbye to his disciples. He adviced them not to worry but to be strong when He is gone. I begin to realise more and more that in order to be one who follows and obey Gods' way, all it takes it FAITH. To trust and act beyond the circumstances, beyond what we can see with our eyes. Jesus' loves us to place our trust in HIM, to believe in HIM. Abraham, Noah, Samuel, King David, Isaiah are all who trusts and follow this unseen God.
Am I going to trust in Him. Ive come to know my Lord for 9 years now. As I reflect, indeed it is Faith that has brought me to where I am, trust and believe in Him. This childlike faith. I want this. I desire this. I know that faith comes by hearing and believing the word of God, and the Word that is made flesh is Jesus Christ. This is what I consider the truth, the reality in the Kingdom of God instead of financial stability, what the world dictate is the trend, the must have, must be.
Application
Do I have faith in what God is doing? Yes.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray for more of you. To love you, to adore and obey you. Father, as I set my gaze upon you, may you reveal more of yourself, your passion and your zeal. I want to live a meaningful life, I want to know what you desire. Father, I know I'm not there yet, but God, I want to surrender my pride, arrogance, anger, weaknesses to you. Father, you have redeem me, you have brought me out of the pit of darkness and meaninglessness. Therefore, I owe my life to you. Father, I will only move when u say so. I will turn when u say so. I act according to the prompting of my best friend, holy spirit. Father, I want to commit my relationships to you, my worships to you.. all things to you. If you can take care of the sparrow and beautify the flowers, how much more am I who is your daughter...

Jesus does not judge, we will reap our deeds of disobedience

47"As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. 48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. 49For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."John 12:47-50
Observation
- Jesus is preaching to the crowd of the truth. From the above, Jesus said that he is not the judge but His Father. Those who hears but does not keep them, they will be condemned at the last day. Jesus is here to save us, to bring us back to the purpose that God has for us. Our deeds or not obeying the Lord will get to us that the end of days.
Application
- To obey what Jesus has to say
- To live by faith, trusting Him by hook or by crook
- To abide in the Holy Spirit, to pray, to prophesy, to be in a relationship with the Lord, to obey, to love the unlovable
Prayer
Father, I pray for an obedient heart. I know that my deeds will get to me eventually. I know that I will not be able to win over my conscienceness. I pray for fear of you only. I want to be by your side. To listen to you.. to only obey your voice.
